Mayumi-san is a very nice lady and deserves to succeed. I'm glad you liked it. After reading your take, I can't wait to go back again!

Btw, rumor has it that Ebisu's head chef left. I'm not sure if that's true but I do know that they are actively looking to hire a new chef.Keizo Shimamotohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16021292533329876539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559927128534150588.post-78362059333217770912008-08-03T02:16:00.000-04:002008-08-03T02:16:00.000-04:00okay, i know alot of people don't really like the ...okay, i know alot of people don't really like the place all that much, but me and my girlfriend tried it out tonight, and I got to say, this is my definite replacement for Ebisu. Ebisu's service is so horrible, but we were always going back cuz the food was decent.

I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, and my g/f got the Gyoza Dinner. We also ordered a side of takoyaki, because, you know, you can't go wrong with takoyaki. =)

We got there just before closing, but there was a table of 8 there and a few other tables. Mayumi-san was the only one there taking orders, and serving, so she was pretty frantic, but at the same time, took time to talk to everyone.

First, we got the takoyaki, and honestly, i don't think i've had better. i frequently go to Honda-ya and always get the takoyaki there, but tonight's was absolutely delicious.

Next, I got my shoyu ramen and my g/f got her gyoza dinner. granted, my ramen noodles looked as if they were a little too done...but honestly...it was just so slight, that it didn't even matter. they still had a good consistency to them, and were very flavorful.

The gyoza was also delicious.

We also got chaahan instead of gohan, and not of our choosing. i guess something happened to make their normal gohan not come out how they wanted, so everyone was getting free chaahan. can NOT complain about that. I'm a traditionalist in that i usually prefer gohan over chaahan, but this was most definitely a time when I didn't mind it at all.

also, both the takoyaki and the gyoza had just the right about of crispness to them.

most definitely, it's in a strange area, but that's okay.

I read the OC Register review about how the writer always prefers MSG in his Asian food.......no offense, but what kind of asinine thinking is that? *shrug*

Zembu wa honto ni oishikatta!

I am definitely coming back here!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559927128534150588.post-43633688650244582192008-07-31T02:34:00.000-04:002008-07-31T02:34:00.000-04:00Hi Keizo,Finally got around to trying it and posti...Hi Keizo,

Finally got around to trying it and posting about it my visit.
