Lucky Taste...

Lucky.

I am...

Very...

Lucky...

Yes...

I...

Am.

There was only one more thing left for me to do before I left the islands...

Belly Bowl at Lucky Belly

Well, maybe a few more things...

But meeting up with Uki-san was definitely at the top of the list.

And Lee Anne Wong's pop-up at Taste was next.

Chicken Caesar Mazemen.

Noodles...

And Lee Anne Wong's top-chef-mind were meant to be together

Speaking of noodles, Paul and I got to see the factory!!!

Thank you Uki-san for your inspiration, your guidance, and your continued support.

Aloha!!!!...

Goodbye winter...

Hello Hawaii!!! First things first. Although my grandpa was born here and I still have family here, it's been 14 years since I've been here last.

So before we get down to business, I need to eat some Ramen.

From what I hear, Agu Ramen Bistro is relatively new on the scene.

And maybe I've been in New York too long because their Shoyu Jidori Ramen was pretty good. Good flavor without being too salty and great aroma. And the noodles were great too.

I'm still hungry. When I arrived my brother says "Are you sure you want to waste stomach space on ramen? There's so much other great food here." We must not be related. Haha.

Next up was Hokkaido Miso Ramen from Kai.

I've had better in Hokkaido but this bowl still satisfied my ramen soul.

Two bowls down and I'm still hungry. Wish I could have a third.

For dinner it was off to Manoa to hang out with the Gooch himself.

It's going to be a fun week!

Honolulu are you ready for Ramen Burger?!!!

Sogo sumo...

Day 1263:

Day 4, the last day, here we go!

Since day 1 I've been wanting to try Iida Shoten's special tsukemen. I guess they read my mind. あざーす!

What? Konishiki is in da house? I gotta go say hi. What up bruddah!

And one last ramen for the road. Thanks Yokohama Sogo!! Otsukare!

After Yokohama it was back to Tokyo for a very special meeting at a very special bar.

With the one and only Lee Anne Wong!!!

Love this life.
