Day 1017:
Bear pond was hosting a barbecue today (or should I say Beer Pond) and I made the mistake of inviting the rabbit.
With Uno-san manning the grill, the beer can chicken was a success.
And the barbecue was also a huge success.
The rabbit on the other hand...missed out on meeting a celebrity. ahaha.
Love these peeps!
いらっしゃいませ!

1000 days...
Day 1000:
One thousand days of living my ramen dream...and I woke up craving katsu-don. haha.
But that craving must have been a fluke...
Cuz I was back to my ramen ways by late afternoon.
Love this place.
And so do the birds.
Jerk GCS!!!
Speaking of jerk...
Haha, jk jerks.

Hot money...
Day 893:
Menya Enji used to be one of my favorite tsukemen shops. I suppose it still is, but after years of slurping so many different kinds of tsukemen, it's hard to really choose a favorite.
Today I ordered the Spicy Tsukemen (辛つけ麺).
It's hot!! I like spicy, but this hotness overpowered all that is good about Enji.
Oh no...
Oh yeah!
Oyasumi.

The basa black...
Day 851:
Next time...ask me for the basa black.
And this is what you'll get.
Curious?
Nakanoshiruba Shinka (中野汁場 進化) recently opened in Shin-Nakano and after hearing about it from Oosaki-san I went to give it a try.
Shinka's honten, located in Machida, specializes in a shio ramen, but the Nakano version is strictly shoyu.
This is no doubt an evolutionary bowl.
The wontons were a bit strange and didn't fit in...
But it still deserved a kanshoku.
Back at basa guess who shows up...
Yup, and he brought his friends.
Cheese senbei!
Alright, get me outta here!
