Day 1143:
Rai Rai Rai in Sancha has my favorite chanpon.
Why why why, you ask?
Just give it a try try try.
There is a normal chanpon, but I prefer the chicken version.
いらっしゃいませ!

Washo...
Day 876:
If you find yourself in Sancha, then Washo (めん 和正) is a good place to go.
It seems ET influenced, but upon further research I could be wrong.
Plus, it was not nearly as good as ET.
Shuga stopped by one last time before he heads back to Fukushima. Good luck Shuga!!
Cheese senbei!
Alright, good night. And if you don't like reading posts from two months back...then don't!!

Fat cheese...
Day 802:
Kousuke (こうすけ) in Sancha looked familiar when I walked by. Why yes! It used to be Jyanya, where Shuga's wife used to work.
I'm not sure what the story is with the name change, but the owner is the same and the ramen is practically the same too. Very, very salty.
And what's up with this piece ofchashu fat?? Unacceptable.
Now that's a piece of chashu!
As you can tell, I've been on a cheesy kick.
No I'm not going karaoke. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.
Where them rabbits at!!! lol.

The great afro...
Day 762:
Behind every great ramen, there is a great man (and woman). Menya Garyu (麺屋 臥龍) in Sangenjaya literally means 'great man' and they serve one of the greatest bowls of ramen that I've ever slurped.
That is...one of the greatest bowls of tori paitan ramen that I've ever slulrped. Seriously, this Tori Chashumen (鶏チャーシュー麺) was incredible.
It was great!
The chicken chashu (both dark meat and white meat) were equally incredible. Next time I'm getting extra!
I haven't felt this good about a bowl in some time. I highly recommend you try this!
Guess what? It's Monday!!!
Monja!!
Okonomiyaki!!
Fanka!!
Thank you Ming!!!
Afroshi...
Ramen Americans!!! Abram and...Weird Al?
Kenzo!!...the original afroman.
I love Mondays...

Extra chicken...
Day 761:
Lately, all I think about is this chanpon from Rai Rai Rai. (I feel like I was just here.)
In fact, I think I like it so much because not only is it really good, but it reminds me of a noodle that I used to eat as a kid (in Fountain Valley..remember???). Funny how that works in life. Anyway, I needed some extra chicken and they were more than happy to meet my selfish demands.
I can't wait to take my mom here...

Chanpon craving...
Day 747:
After a slow day yesterday with the rain, today was the complete opposite. And during break I had a huge craving for Rai Rai Rai's chanpon that I desperately needed to fulfill.
The master behind the glass is a tireless magician who has sure enough perfected the chanpon craft.
And after one bite I'm sure you'll absolutely agree.
I want to learn how to make this someday. No not just any chanpon...THIS chanpon.
Men burger!!
It's been awhile since I made one of these...

Champ-on...
Day 672:
Stepping into Rai Rai Rai (来来来) in Sancha felt like stepping into...
Well...just a dirty old ramen shop...
That serves a dirty effin' good Champon!
Seriously, this Tori Champon is a champion. The vegetables are so fresh and the chicken just pops with juiciness.
The champon-specific noodles are also thick and poppin'. This is one shop I know my mom will enjoy.
Picnic in the park!!
My friend Banana invited me to hang out with some of her friends in Yoyogi Park. And since this was mainly a place to make new friends, I called up some of my friends to join in on the fun. Next thing you know, the fb friend requests were clogging the inbox. haha.
After a night of fun in the park and even getting harassed by the cops, Brian wanted to check out this Okinawan restaurant by his new pad.
Look! (No not that head coming out of my armpit.)
Umibudou!!
Man do I miss Okinawa.
Brian says to look below.
Souki Soba!!
Hiroshi was getting a little too excited. Or was it because the soba tasted like $#!*. Anyway, I can't remember.
Before we left, Banana had to get some Blue Seal.
And Hiroshi needed to get out of the bright lights.
Awesome night guys! Next week. Same time, same place?
The night was so good, I vaguely remember buying a quarter pounder with cheese on my way home. But I did...
