The contents include:
- Soup pouch
- Noodles
Chicken stock mixed with a little salt and shoyu creates this refreshingly unique blend seen below. It was very light-tasting and quite delicious. A chicken soup with a Japanese soul.
This thin curly noodle uses less kansui than most other types (not that I could tell) and finishes off a truly original ramen.
The chicken chashu still intrigues me and may require a personal visit to Iwate soon...
Hi Keizo,
ReplyDeleteMissed commenting on this review earlier: Sounds like yet another delicious Instant Ramen (that's sadly better than most So Cal places (~_~)).
BTW, just curious: Do you ever spruce up your Instant Ramen with anything? (Negi, Hanjyukku Tamago, etc.) (I know you have to try the package as is for the review, but maybe after half a bowl, you add in some much needed additions? (^_~)
Hey I forgot to reply to this! I leave these instant ramen alone because I wouldn't want to mess them up, but if I were to get some nama ramen from the local Japanese market, I usually just add some menma and bok choy. Nothing too fancy. Occasionally (you'll think I'm wierd) I'll add turkey pastrami to my shoyu ramen. It's something I discovered in college b/c I didn't have any chashu and it sort of stuck with me....haha.
