Day 909:
Ryu-chan ramen before work usually means that I didn't have time to go anywhere else. haha.
After work, I went to check out the izakaya where the newest member of basa also works.
Say hi Ooh-chan!
If you've been to Uoshin (魚真), then you'll enjoy Kokera (こけら) too.
Alright, time to call the rest of the gang.
Can you guess who's who?
So who's down to get some cheese senbei?
いらっしゃいませ!
Welcome to my ramen dream... Currently being interpreted in Ramen Burger Land... Looking for a good slurp? Email me ! - Keizo

One pic...
Day 908:
It's hard to believe, but I only took one picture today. And this was it...my dinner.
A bowl of TYS.

Bad choice...
Day 907:
It's not my first time slurping at Daiichigen in Sasazuka, but I should have known better. I was actually in the mood for some mabo ramen, but when I asked the old lady if they had it she just barked, "we don't have tofu!"
Hmm...is this supposed to be symbolic?
Anyway, I tried using a new coconut juice in the GCS...
Bad choice...
Btw, I finally met the man behind the original GCS today. Slowly but surely everything and everyone is beginning to come together. It shall get very interesting soon...

Okazaki...
Day 906:
An old friend would probably appreciate this post. With that said, Ramen Okazaki (らーめん屋 OKAZAKI) in Shibuya has been around since 2002, but they moved from Sakurajosui in 2008. Anyhow, that's useless information.
I ordered the Shoyu Ramen, which is a chicken and pork based soup blended with konbu, various vegetables, bonito, and two types of niboshi along with a special shoyu tare.
With one sip, I instantly became a fan. Interestingly, this ramen tasted like Kohryu (during its good days).
After work, it was time for some midnight fun!
Martin!!
Ahhhh...
Yup, for one night only you could eat Nakamuraya's famed shio ramen right down the street from basa. ごちそう様!

Dragon cheese...
Day 905:
This day began with a dragon...
Ahhh Ichiryu...
And it ended with cheese.
3種のチーズ牛丼 to be exact.

DT deference...
Day 904:
After ET, comes DT.
Only few can appreciate this bowl. And to be frank, I guarantee you won't appreciate it the first time either.
Nuff said.
GCT!

Uni smear...
Day 903:
Tairyo Makoto (大漁まこと) in Shibuya was recently featured on TV for their Hamaguri Soba, a clam infused ramen. The president wanted to give it a try so I met him there.
Upon arrival, something else caught my eye--Noukou Uni Mamire Tsukemen (濃厚 雲丹まみれつけ麺).
A sea-urchin-smeared tsukemen that tastes exactly how it's named.
If you like uni, then you'll love this.
The prez went with the Hamaguri (clam) Soba (凝縮 蛤ざんまいそば). Wait a minute...is that whip cream??
Apparently a mousse-like hamaguri cream is layered on top of the ramen.
Interesting...very interesting. That's all I got to say.
Vamanos!
Again?
Yes, again!

Breaking dawn...
Day 902:
Chuukasoba Sakurazaka (中華ソバ 櫻坂) in Shibuya.
The last time I slurped here was over two years ago.
It's funny how first impressions deteriorate over time. Or could it just be that my taste buds have evolved? Probably both.
Anyway, Okinawa beer!
Miso Curry Ramen!
Cheese senbei!!
Uh oh, is that what I think it is?
Get me off these tracks!!

Breaking records...
Day 901:
1 box = 30 servings of noodles. I'll let you do the math. Yup, lately we've been twice as busy as we were last year. おつかれー!
Hey look, miso!
I've been testing out a new miso ramen. Hopefully it will make the menu soon.

Sad fortune...
Day 900:
A legend was on the move, but I had to see it for myself. I couldn't stand here long and it hurts even to look at the picture, but it's all for the better and Ichifuku will be reopening soon just down the street. Ishida-san even came into basa the other day to finally try our ramen. She's the best!
Since the new Ichifuku wasn't open yet, I found myself at Anaya yet again. Apparently there is a guy that works here that used to work at basa.
Bun B.
びっくりスパイスGCS!
No, no, no, no, no...

Himuka...
Day 899:
Himukaya (ひむか屋) in Chitose-Funabashi used to be a really popular shop. But I guess it's not so popular anymore. Not sure why.
Anyway, after chatting a little with the master I decided to get the Miyazaki Ramen with everything on it (全部入り宮崎ラーメン).
It was a lot more volume than I expected, but it was tasty! A little different from the Miyazaki Ramen I remember, but it may have been better.
Getting extra chashu was not a mistake!
