After my workout I decided to go eat ramen somewhere in Hatagaya. But on my way through Sasazuka I noticed this long line of people. Waa!! New ramen shop!!
I couldn't resist getting in line myself. I guess the bank will have to wait until tomorrow. (Hey look! It's Oshita-san!)
The line was moving relatively fast and when I finally did get to the front of Chuukasoba Showa (中華そば 醤和), I realized WHY there was such a long line. Today was the grand-opening and they were giving away free ramen.
Waa!! FREE RAMEN!!
Old-school shoyu-flavored chuukasoba. This is normally my type of bowl, but Showa's had a little too much of the yuzu-thing going on. I think if they scale back on the yuzu it would taste a lot better.
The noodles were Harukiya-like, what every good chuukasoba should have. Overall a decent bowl. I'll go back in a couple months to see if they've improved. Still can't believe it was free. Gochisousama!
