Nostalgic again...

Day 1011:

It's been awhile since I sat down in front of a bowl of ramen and thought it was amazing from the first sip to the last. Well, that nostalgic feeling was reintroduced today.

Chuuka Tokudai (中華徳大) in Ogikubo opened in 1974 and has been a quiet legend ever since.

Although Tokudai serves many other dishes aside from ramen, this Shoyu Ramen blew my mind.

They don't make 'em like this anymore. Pure nostalgia in a bowl. I hope the son can learn everything from his dad.

Even though Tokudai's shoyu ramen was fully satisfying, I wasn't gonna leave Ogikubo without another bowl. Kikuchi (荻窪ラーメン菊池) is another shop that I've always wanted to go to.

Perhaps the impact of the last bowl overwhelmed this one, but this was a decent classic Shoyu Ramen.

With this last bowl, I think I've now slurped every relevant bowl of shoyu ramen in Ogikubo.
