Friday first...
Fridays usually start with a trip to Burger Maker in New Jersey to pick up meat.
Then to Restaurant Depot, Sun Noodle, Starbucks, and Mitsuwa.
After almost spinning out on the Triboro bridge, I needed a bowl of ramen quick so I stopped at Setagaya in Fort Lee. It's not my first time here, but for some reason the weather was making it taste really good.
Too good.
And then I was back in Manhattan.
Cold...too cold.

Japanese TV...
Day 1337:
Not sure what this is all about.
But apparently I'm gonna be on tv. Stay tuned...
Anyway, I went to this place for lunch. Walked in and nobody greeted me. Sat down and nobody came with a menu. Waited. Waited some more. Waited a lot more then decided to leave and go somewhere else.
Now that's better.
Service.
I miss Japan.

Sun Noodle Food Film Fest...
Day 1317:
It's not everyday that you can eat a ramen flight from a famous ramen chef and then eat burgers at White Manna with the host of Burgerland, George Motz. Enjoy the pics...

Ramen science...
Day 1226:
The future of ramen in America...Kenshiro Uki from Sun Noodle.
And my man Salvador. Believe it!
Casual ramen talk with Ivan and Naka.
細麺。
平打ち。
太。
The past, the present, and the future. A new beginning perhaps?
Or just a new adventure?
On my way back into the city I stopped by Tabata Noodle Restaurant in Times Square.
Where Chef Maung was hard at work. I introduced myself but I'm not sure if he remembered me. haha.
Tabata Ramen. An interesting blend of soybean powder and coconut flavored soup. All I could think of doing was nodding my head as if I was listening to a slow r&b song. Confused? Yup. But it did start to grow on me in the end.
Tan Tan Men. One of the bowls that won last year's NY Street Ramen Contest. It needed more spicy.
Dessert. $1 pizza.
It's all about the oils...
