Ramen Burger Los Angeles AND Smorgasburg Week 6...
A week ago I had a dream that my mom would be able to try a Ramen Burger™, not an imposter but a REAL Ramen Burger™, the same one I debuted at Smorgasburg five weeks ago. Today that dream will come true. But not only will my mom be able to eat one, my fellow Angelinos who come early will also get to try one.
So get ready California. Get ready Los Angeles. 500 hundred Ramen Burger's (and maybe some more) will be first come first serve for $8 beginning at 11am this Saturday (9/7).
Where?? At Mitsuwa Market in Torrance. 21515 S. Western Ave., Torrance,CA 90501
And to my fellow Brooklynites, don't worry we'll still be at Smorgasburg in Williamsburg this Saturday too.
Ramen Burger™!! On both coasts!!!! What's next? Global??

Ramen maniacs...
Day 1276:
Speaking of maniacs, the one-and-only rameniac joined me for lunch today. Although you won't see it on his blog (update it dammit!), his latest hype is Ramen Toraya in Torrance.
Rick recommended the Kitakata Ramen. A very light shoyu broth with a clean, crisp flavor.
It was good, but Kitakata it was not.
I needed another bowl so I got a mini Kyoto Tonkotsu.
Impressive, but I've never seen a ramen like this in Kyoto before. Good catching up Rick! Again, update the blog dammit!!
Before this trip ends, there is one place I need to go. Yeah you guessed it. Foo-Foo Tei
A big thanks to Michael for showing up and hanging out. It was great to finally meet you!!
Hello mabo.
Just like old times...
Sucks I gotta drive.
Thanks Murakami-san!!! 元気で良かった!まだ帰って来ないよ!

What's up Men?...
Day 1273:
So the name...what's up with that?! What's Up Men is a new shop in Fullerton claiming to be "the best ramen in Orange County!"
Interesting name aside, let's see what's up with their ramen?!
Okay, the Kuro Ramen wasn't bad and it might as well be "the best" tonkotsu in OC but...
But I still feel that ramen in general can be so much better here.
What's up with that? I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Banh Mi!
Yum mi.
