Day 1202:
I couldn't take it anymore. I needed to get outside.
Feeling much better, I took a quick ride to Fukuju.
Wontonmen.
日本一.
Ahh...much better.
いらっしゃいませ!

Okagesama...
Day 1178:
My first visit to Okagesama in Sasazuka was impressive.
But it's been less and less so each time I've been back.
Doesn't the color look similar?
Anyway, I made a new soup today and it wasn't bad.

Eye five...
Day 1121:
Hmm where to eat...
Here? No.
Here? Nah.
Here? Oh...okay.
I really wanted to go see pops, but he was closed today.
So Bokusei had to do and it really didn't do much.
??? I have no idea what the guy was trying to explain...
But I got my iPhone 5!
This calls for a beer.
Remember Oshita-san?
Well, he quit El Barril and opened up Sketch (笹塚バル スケッチ) in Sasazuka.
Go check it out! It's fantastic!!

Good luck prez...
Day 1021:
What? Chuukasoba Showa is now Sejiken (中華そば 醤和 せじけん)?
It definitely doesn't look the same. Anyway...
Dinner was spent with the president.
Our last dinner for awhile...
But not our last ever.
Good luck prez... 応援してますよ!

Bad choice...
Day 907:
It's not my first time slurping at Daiichigen in Sasazuka, but I should have known better. I was actually in the mood for some mabo ramen, but when I asked the old lady if they had it she just barked, "we don't have tofu!"
Hmm...is this supposed to be symbolic?
Anyway, I tried using a new coconut juice in the GCS...
Bad choice...
Btw, I finally met the man behind the original GCS today. Slowly but surely everything and everyone is beginning to come together. It shall get very interesting soon...

Three and out...
Day 855:
My first bowl from Showa (中華そば 醤和) may have been free and my second bowl may have not led to a third, but on my way home from the gym I noticed some new items like this Wontonmen and decided to give them another try.
I don't know what it was, but it wasn't very good.
I probably won't be back again...probably.

Still kickin'...
Day 843:
Lately it's been rare to see Fukuju (福寿) open when I pass by, so when I passed by today and saw the owner in his trademark shorts (btw it's still winter) just living the happy ramen life, I knew I had to stop.
Sweetness in a bowl...
That lets you take a step back in time.
The noodles are rather stiff compared to other bowls with this much history, but that's also what gives this bowl an attitude of its own. In a sense, the soul of this bowl resembles the soul of the chef exactly. You'll know what I mean when you try it.
And you'll also know what I mean when you see this.
There goes that man again...
haha

Here's another one...
Day 813:
This song just started playing. Anyway, I went back to Menbu Kotori (麺風 古都里) because I had nowhere better to go.
And this time I tried the Chuukasoba.
The egg was good.
Back to business.
Man I'm so behind...

Cleaning day...
Day 791:
I spent the day cleaning at basa by myself and it wasn't pretty. I would have taken some pics but like I said, it wasn't pretty. Then Hiroshi called. Time to go clean my stomach!
Menbu Kotori (麺風 古都里) opened mid last year in the newly remodeled area of Sasazuka station.
Their specialty was tsukemen.
But nothing really special about it. haha. The noodles were good but the soup was a bit too sweet.
Anyway, time for some gold sake!
And don't ask me why I took this cuz I don't remember. I must have been waiting for something...
After a few drinks in Hatagaya, my friends wanted to go eat ramen.
Without many choices, we ended up at Mendokoro Naruya (麺処なる家).
If you recall, I was just here a month ago.
And with this being my second time...
I was not impressed.
I don't know...there's just something not very good about it. But it's good. Do you feel me?
The gyoza were good. But not very good.
Alright I'll stop.
Looking forward to tomorrow...
