A taste of home...

Day 159:

I've been feeling a little homesick lately and I think it's because I've been skyping with friends about the foods that I miss from back home: An in-n-out burger; a del beef burrito from del taco; a carne asada burrito from Alberto's; a western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's; a hawaiian ribeye from Houston's; a pita from the Pita Kitchen in Sherman Oaks. Man the list can go on and on and on. Anyway, I managed to find this "American" pizza when surfing the Domino's Japan website so I decided to give it a try.

A good 'ole pepperoni pizza. Who am I kidding? As much as I miss the food in LA, I can eat the best ramen in the world any day of the week!

Big props to Claus who came to meet me at Bassanova today! He's been following my fb fan page for quite some time now and finally got a chance to travel here all the way from Denmark. Dude...Denmark! How cool is that?!

On a stranger note, I was riding my bike home from work around 4am and noticed a man lying face down in the middle of the street. When I got closer I realized his face was sitting in a pool of blood. I thought he might be you-know-what at first, but then I heard him snore. I gave him a little nudge and he immediately woke up and started apologizing. I offered to call an ambulance but he adamantly refused, saying that he lived just around the corner. With blood still dripping down his face, he walked his still-half-drunk self home.

  1. Pizza looks tasty!

And I've definitely encountered a passed out drunk dude before. Mine was less injured, though.
