Brooklyn Ramen/Bar crawl...

Day 1075:

Good morning!

I got a call from the Ramen Lab this morning asking if I wanted to have lunch at Ganso in Downtown Brooklyn. Hellz yeah! Thanks Kenshiro!!

Kari Kari Buns.

Rio's Wings.

Ganso Ramen. A classic shoyu ramen.

Tan Tan Ramen.

 Spicy Miso Ramen.

Short Rib Ramen.

Better than expected, but lacking that subtle intensity.

Off to Broadway!

Okay...so...I didn't expect New York to be this cold and I didn't bring a warm jacket with me. So if you're coming to New York now (Boom, Nobo!)...bring a jacket!!

Ooh...smoked turkey legs.

For dinner, the FoodFilmFest gang took me to Dassara in Carroll Gardens.

Shishito Peppers.

Rice Cakes.

Corn Fritters.

Chicken Adobo Steamed Buns.

Lamb Ramen.

 I've never had a lamb ramen before...

But this was pretty impressive.

There is actually an awesome reason why we all came here tonight. Josh, co-owner of Dassara, has never been to Japan and he apparently came up with the concept of his ramen shop by reading my blog and being inspired. How f-ing cool is that! Great job Josh! Keep up the awesome work!!
