Anxious...

Day 566:

We were testing new ramen again. But I was anxious to get home. For this would be my last night with my girlfriend for awhile.

So I finished all my work as fast as I could, ate this makanai-han, and was given the okay to leave.

It feels so good having her back at 100%.

I love this photo.

Anyway, what did we eat for our last dinner together? Yup, you guessed it.

Kagetsu is not the most romantic place, but the romance between us is all that matters.

I'm gonna miss her dearly, but such is life. Perfect is way too boring.

The life...

Day 474:

It's always tough ending a night shift at 4am and then starting a lunch shift at 10am. I'm not complaining. No, really I am not. :P But on the bright side, I get to spend the night relaxing and living the life...

Even if that means selling a pair of my eyes. I'll miss that camera. Thanks for helping me climb that mountain and for accompanying me on that journey.

#11 at the Hub.

Now THIS is the life! The mama at Wakatsuki gets no love. But that's about to change.

I wanted to share with the assistant one of my favorite bowls. While she had the shoyu ramen, I decided to go with the Paitanmen.

The Paitanmen was also good, but shoyu is definitely the way to go.

Don't believe me? Well, let me just say this: It's the first time I've seen the assistant slurp a bowl down to the very last drop.

Now that's hot...

Hot pot...

Day 459:

I finally went to the gym today for the first time this year. And although I couldn't go full speed, it still felt good to get in a workout. So on my way home I decided to stop by Daitabashi Taishoken. The master is a G, but I'm still afraid to take his pic up close. Truthfully, he frightens me.

Today I went with the Moyashi Ramen. It's not the best, but it's decent.

This a heartwarming ramen shop where people from the neighborhood can relax and start their day. As I glanced to my right, I actually knew the person sitting next to me. lol.

In the evening, the assistant became my boss and took me out for some hot pot with her friends.

We were all drooling over this chicken.

And juiced up for the xiaolongbao.

But then it was time for it to get hot.

oooh hot pot.

Toshomen!

I miss DNo.

The assistant can sing! I felt like I was sitting next to Amuro...seriously!

Time for a post-midnight snack.

Wait a minute, what am I still doing up? I gotta work the lunch shift tomorrow.

heartburn...
