The countdown to Christmas...

Day 49:

Amidst my post about the ramen girl yesterday, I forgot to mention that my favorite aunt and uncle came to visit me at work. I used to spend every winter at their house in Tokyo and part of the reason why I am here today living my dream is because of them. Long ago they gave me some advice that noone else could have. Thanks auntie and uncle! By the way, my uncle is a famous jeweler in Tokyo. You can check out his work (and my cousins!) here.

Anyway, I began today by going to the gym to workout. I really didn't feel like going cuz it was so damn cold in the morning, but I forced myself to. Plus, I needed to burn off some ramen calories. haha. Afterwards, I got some much needed protein from the neighborhood Sukiya. Then it was off to work.

On my way to work, I ran into this cute dog.

And then I made me some Goma Chili Tsukemen for dinner. This stuff is damn good! Ivan really does know his s***! If your not in the mood for ramen, this tsukemen is seriously the way to go.

Seriously!

Tomorrow is a national holiday in Japan and normally it is our day off, but we will be open during the day from 11:30am to 5:30pm. I hope to see you there!
