Fan day...

Day 411:

To say I have fans (aside from my mom) is still a bit awkward for me. And to have them come into Bassanova and say things like "thank you for being the first celebrity I've ever met" just sounds so strange. But, I am extremely grateful and very, very thankful for my fans and those that enjoy reading this measly blog about my ramen-filled life.

Today was unlike any other day. It started off by meeting some new friends and introducing them to Bassanova for the first time.

Then it was off to grab a bowl at Ichiryu (一龍). Ahh, I remember this bowl. Chicken noodle soup at its finest.

I'd say Ichiryu is one of the better ramen shops that Shimokitazawa has to offer.

Anyway, let me tell you why today was fan day. From the minute we opened, it seemed like every hour on the hour someone came into Bassanova after reading my blog. First was Craig, pictured below. He came all the way from Canada via Fukuoka to try the green curry. Then there was a group from LA, which I wasn't able to get their names, but one was a fellow Bruin and another was the one who said the quote above. After them was a group from Indonesia, which prompted Boom to say "dang, Indonesia?"

Then it was Jason and Roman who hail from my old hood in the SGV. Jason and I have exchanged emails a few times so it's always cool to meet the people behind them. Thanks to everyone who came in today and thanks to all of you who read this blog and let me waste a part of your day. I truly appreciate it.

The funniest part of the day was when Boom turned to me and said in the most serious tone, "After work, can I please have your autograph?" hahaha.
