A few weeks ago I was invited to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. So I decided to take a week off of work and jump on the bullet train.
Sh** is fast!
Along the way I had a short transfer in Okayama. You know what that means!
About a 15-minute walk from the station is Tenjin Soba (天神そば), one of the oldest shops in Okayama where there are 11 different ways to order their ramen.
I got the #4 (玉子入り), which comes with an egg.
Now THIS was a classic! An old-school (岡山老舗), chicken-based shoyu ramen. I'm glad I stopped in.
Shikoku here I come!!
After meeting up with an old friend (and a new one) at the hotel, we headed to one of the top restaurants in Kagawa--Ikkaku (一鶴).
Otsukare!
Ikkaku is famous for these chickens:
Oyadori (おやどり) |
They go great with beer.
Hinadori (ひなどり) |
Say hello to my new friend!
Who, you ask?
Hoo, I say!
