Day 1147:
Still never understood the whole Japanese obsession behind KFC and Xmas. haha.
Xmas eve dinner was actually at a yakiniku shop in Kichijoji, but that wasn't very fulfilling so ramen was in order.
At Harukiya in Kichijoji.
For some reason, the ramen here tastes better than the honten.
And the noodles are a bit chewier too.
I like.
This is what I'll leave out for Santa.
Have a safe and merry xmas everyone!!
Keizo, I think part of the attraction for KFC in Japan has to do with Japan Airlines serving KFC as its base meal on international flights.
ReplyDeleteOn my flight back to Chicago on the 18th, the last meal we had before arriving was a custom KFC meal involving a piece of chicken (with the bone) and a boneless chicken patty to be placed inside a mayonnaised bun (provided).
The accompanying flyer (which I saved) states that Colonel Harlan T. Sanders last visited Japan on his last international flight (on JAL) in 1980, when he was 89 years of age.
