More than a monk...

Day 944:

As a promise to a friend, I went to check out the Kookai (麺屋 空海 恵比寿店) in Ebisu.

To try their Shoyu Ramen.

As expected, it was better than their shio.

Go Jess!

Still hungry, I ordered another bowl.

This Tonkotsu Ramen may be a hit in the States. ;)

Later in the night I was dragged by Hiroshi to Dokkan in Hatagaya.

And this time I got to meet the owner, Hasunuma-san!

Chashu!

The special of the day was this Bitter Niboshi Tsukemen (本日の限定 煮干しビターつけ麺).

Yeah it was bitter, but better than most.

Now that's way better.

CS!

  1. Alright, where are you getting all this cheese senbei? I never see it in Tokyo, but maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
