The third step...into the village I go...

Day 520:

I've probably dragged this on long enough. By now, you all know I left Bassanova. But where next? Will the ramen dream continue or does this mean the end? I tried to think of a way to make it all dramatic, but then soon realized that my best posts are written when I don't think much at all. Yes, I've left Bassanova and from today forward I will be working for the one and only Chef Nakamura. THE Chef Nakamura of Nakamuraya fame and Ramen California lore. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to pass the next level.

The third and possibly final stage...

Begins now!

Are you with us? The future of ramen is in sight!

Nakamuraya Miso Ramen.

I'm gonna like working here.

And slurping here.

I could get used to seeing the bottom of this bowl everyday.

Of course I'll miss basa, but into the village I go.

A big thanks to everyone that made this possible. Especially my ramen brutha Kenshiro!

I'll be working at the honten in Ebina for a couple weeks before being shipped out to a new branch that is set to open later this month. Stay tuned for more details! And if you live near Ebina (Kanagawa), come say hi!

  1. I hope the new branch is an easier commute once it opens! Good luck to you.

  3. I am glad you got a new job. Ebina is not too far from my town, Chigasaki. But I live in California now... Your blog is always my best guide to Ramen!

  4. Great to hear Keizo! I lived in a tiny apartment in Honatsugi for six months back in 2005 when I was sent over for shyuchou.. If you have time check out Honmarutei in Atsugi. Anyway good luck at Nakamuraya!

  6. Keizo,

Wow! Congrats! I love Ramen California. On my last visit to LA, I went there 3 times in 6 days. Ate almost everything on the menu. Good luck to you.

    Omedetou! (^_^)

That's so awesome! Nakamura-san is a great chef and I've enjoyed his cooking in the past. :)

Can't wait to try your Keizo-Nakamura Gattai Ramen! :P

    Congrats again!
