Day 1096:
3 years ago, I obtained a 3 year visa, and moved to Japan to live out my ramen dream.
3 years in, and 3 shops later, I'm still here.
To say that I've accomplished what I set out to accomplish within these 3 years may seem like a lie, but in fact, this is exactly where I thought I'd be. For the most part. :)
It's been a long, emotional, amazing, eventful, couldn't-ask-for-more 3 years that went by incredibly too fast. What I've learned, not just about ramen, but about myself has been the best 3 years of my life. A BIG thank you to all of you who take the time to read my lazy ramen posts everyday. Thank you for not letting my passion die. It is because of you that I can find a way to live and continue to show the world what ramen means to me. And of course, a GIANT thanks to my family and friends for your continued support too.
I have so much more to say, so many more stories to tell, and so much more to learn, but also so much more to dream. Ramen is my life. If there was no ramen in my life...I still may be able to live...but for as long as ramen continues to exist...my life will go where only ramen dreams can take it. Care to dream with me for another 3 years?
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary. All the best for the years ahead.

ReplyDeleteHi Keizo! CONGRATULATIONS on 3 years of delightful, mouthwatering, and inspiring ramen stories. I look forward to another 3, and hope to share another bowl with you, perhaps the next time you're in the LA area. Or in Tokyo if I'm lucky!!!
