Yasubee (つけ麺屋 やすべえ) is a popular tsukemen chain with several shops around Tokyo. I've heard some good things about them, but never really had the urge to give them a try. Until now.
I was pretty hungry so I decided to go with the 大 tsukemen, a 440g-sized mistake. Aside from ordering too much, the tsukemen was awkwardly too sweet.
It was like slurping on some candied noodles. It wasn't bad, but just a little surprising. If I ever go back, it'll be for dessert.
Time for something spicy and sour.
Tom yum with extra lime juice always does the trick.
