March madness...

Day 498:

Amidst all this ruckus, the cherry blossoms have started to bloom.

In between all the emails that I've gotten with the subject "Fill out your bracket NOW!", I've received A LOT of love from family, friends, and fans. I thank you all for being so concerned about my well being. As of now, I am still in Tokyo. If the situation gets worse I'll consider evacuating but as of now it's not that easy for me to leave. I will explain later.

I was in the mood for a bowl of shoyu ramen before work and Bokusei had crossed my mind.

For some reason, ramen hasn't been tasting the same lately. This one tasted way sweeter than I had remembered. And the flavorless chashu made me regret ordering extra.

But the green curry fixed all that.

As you know, I try to write daily but when I get busy I often have to catch up and write as if it were still that day. As of this writing, I'm two days behind. A lot has happened in these upcoming two days but I will post after I get back from work. Yes, Bassanova is still open for business as normal...for now.

ps. I'm NOT filling out a bracket this year.

  1. It's good to hear that Bassanova is still open! We might stop next week for lunch if things are all well in Tokyo when we travel to Japan next week.

  2. I imagine college basketball seems a bit trivial to you right about now.

  4. Glad to know you're OK, Keizo.
Don't worry about the basketball bracket. I bet you wouldn't have had Butler and V.C.U. in the final four. ;=))
