I've raved about Hototogisu to the assistant for quite some time now and today I finally got to show her what it was all about. We both were in the mood for tsukemen and since I've never tried Hototogisu's tsukemen, going there was a no brainer.

Unfortunately, the master was by himself tonight and he had turned off all the tsukemen buttons on the ticket machine. Oh well, I totally understand.

So I went with the Nankou Ume Shio Soba.

Ahhh hamaguri and ume.

While walking home we decided to try a local Thai restaurant.

Yeah, we are crazy. Just minutes after we finished our bowls at Hototogisu, we were slurping up this Thai ramen. The assistant loves Thai ramen.
