The day after yesterday...

Day 495:

I worked the lunch shift today despite all the paranoia surrounding me. Most people, like me, find comfort in eating a bowl of their favorite ramen. It felt like business as usual.

Customers ordered ramen. I made ramen. We all ate ramen. Despite worries of blackouts and nuclear plants exploding, Tokyo seems to be fine at the moment.

Wait, I take that back. Instant ramen in most convenience stores have been sold out!

Water and bento's are all sold out too!

All that was left was instant salmon chazuke.

I have much to say, but for once I will not say anything. I'll just pray for those that lost their loved ones. I wish I could help in some way...

  3. Keizo, you're the only person I know in Japan and I don't even "know" you. As soon as I heard about the earthquake, I immediately went to your blog. Its funny how reading your words gives us that connection. Anyway, I'm so glad to hear you are okay. My heart is with Japan...

  5. Hang in there man, but don't be a hero - lots of people (including me) have left town until the NPP situation is cleared up. Certainly your relatives with kids should seriously consider doing the same . . .
